Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin, after praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has now declared India worthy of being included in the global superpower list. This statement of Putin has shocked the countries that intend to dominate and influence the world. Putin has said that India fully deserves to be included in the list of global superpowers, as its economy is currently growing faster than any other country. While addressing the plenary session of 'Valdai Discussion Club' in Sochi on Thursday, Putin also said that Russia is developing relations with India in all directions and both the countries have deep trust in each other in bilateral relations.
The Russian President said, “With a population of 1.5 billion, the fastest progress among all the economies of the world, ancient culture and very good prospects for future development, India should undoubtedly be included in the list of superpowers.” Describing India as a great country, he said, “We are developing relations with India in all directions. India is a great country, now the largest country in terms of population with a population of 1.5 billion and also where the population increases by one crore every year.
Putin said- India is leading the world in economic progress
President Putin said that India is leading the world in terms of economic progress. “Our vision of where and at what pace our relations will develop is based on today's realities,” Russian news agency Tass quoted Putin as saying. Our cooperation is increasing manifold every year. Putin said that contacts between India and Russia are developing in the security and defense sector. “Look at how many types of Russian military equipment are in service with the Indian Armed Forces,” he said. There is a great deal of trust in this relationship. We do not just sell our arms to India; We also jointly design them.'' Putin cited the BrahMos cruise missile project as an example. “In fact, we have made it (the missile) suitable for use in three environments – in the air, at sea and on land,” he said. These projects, operated for the security benefit of India, are continuing.”
Putin also spoke on India-China relations
The Russian President said, “India-Russia relations are widely known and no one has any problem with it, but these projects demonstrate a high level of mutual trust and cooperation. So we will continue to do this in the near future and I hope we will continue to do so in the distant future as well.'' According to the agency, Putin acknowledged some difficulties on the border between India and China. However, he said that with the future of their nations in mind, intelligent and capable people look for compromise and will eventually find it. (Language)
