Islamabad: Pakistan's restive Balochistan province has once again been rocked by blasts. At least seven people, including five school children and a policeman, were killed in a remote-controlled explosion here on Friday. This information was received from media reports. According to the news of 'Dawn' newspaper, the explosion took place at 8.35 am near a school located at Civil Hospital Chowk in Mastung district of the province.
“It appears that an IED (improvised explosive device) was planted on a motorcycle which exploded near a police mobile vehicle,” the report quoted Naeem Bazai, commissioner of Kalat division in Pakistan, as saying. “So far seven people have died, including five school students.” At least 22 people have been injured in the attack. In such a situation, there is a possibility of the death toll increasing. At present, all the injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
