On one hand, women keep strict fasts like Teej and Karva Chauth for the long life of their husbands, so that their marriage remains immortal. At the same time, there are some women who are taking widow pension after declaring their husband dead while he was alive. One such case has come to light from Ghazipur in UP. Here a woman did something similar. This was revealed by none other than the husband of the same person who was declared dead by his wife. At present the court has ordered the police to take action in this matter.

Taking widow pension from 2021

Now the husband has filed a case against his own wife and is demanding action. This case has been registered in Gahmar police station on the orders of the court. Ramavatar, resident of Maniya Gram Sabha, has filed a case against his wife Tara Devi. He has alleged that his wife is taking widow pension of Rs 2000 per month after declaring him dead. She has been receiving widow pension from the probation department since 2021. When Ram Avtaar came to know about this, the ground slipped beneath his feet. Court ordered

Regarding this, Ramvatar informed the entire matter through registered post to the Superintendent of Police at Gahmar police station on 19th July and 29th July 2024. But when no action was taken, he took refuge in the court. He had complained about this in a complaint letter to Gahmar police station and the Superintendent of Police and had said – firstly, his wife made him dead while he was alive and secondly, she has misused the government money. But when the case was not registered, they took recourse to the court and the court ordered to register a case against Tara Devi in this matter.
