What did Babita Chauhan say?
State Women's Commission Chairperson Babita Chauhan said, “Complaints of bad touch by male trainers in gyms and women's boutiques are increasing. Most of the tailors who take measurements of women for sewing clothes are men. We say that if the tailors are men then If so, there is no problem, but only women should take the measurement.” He said, “We know that trained women will have to be hired at all these places and it may take some time but still this step will provide employment to more women besides saving them from bad touch.”
'We will request the state government to make a law in this regard'
Women's Commission member Himani Aggarwal said, “We believe that men are also involved in this kind of profession and women are molested while taking measurements. They (men) try to touch inappropriately. Some Men's intentions are also not good. However, it is not that all men's intentions are bad. That is why women should measure themselves.” He said, “Right now this is a proposal and we have said that this should happen. After this we will request the state government to make a law in this regard.” (Input with PTI)
