Karnataka Energy Minister KJ George has written a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. In this letter, the Karnataka Minister has demanded to change the timing of Vande Bharat train (22232/22231) running between Bengaluru and Kalaburagi to provide better service to the passengers. George's letter written to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on December 7 has been released by his office.
Demand for change in timing of Vande Bharat train of this route
The letter informed that train number 22232 starts from Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (SMV) Terminal, Baiyappanahalli, Bengaluru at 2.40 pm and reaches Mantralayam Road station at 8.20 pm and then reaches its destination Kalaburagi Railway Station at 11.30 pm. The minister wrote in the letter, 'I understand that it is inconvenient for the passengers going to Mantralayam by this train, because the darshan timing of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy is from 6 am to 8.30 pm every day.'
It takes 40 to 50 minutes to reach the temple.
According to the minister, devotees reach Mantralayam Road station by train at 8.20 pm. It takes at least 40-50 minutes to reach Mantralayam from there. “By that time the darshan of Sri Raira ends for the whole day,” the minister said.
Darshan starts at 6 am
He also informed the Railway Minister that the train starts from Kalaburagi Railway Station at 5.15 am on the return journey. Reaches Mantralayam Road station at 7.10 am. Reaches Bengaluru SMV terminal at 2 pm. The minister said, 'Darshan starts at 6 am, so devotees who want to travel by train cannot reach Mantralayam Road railway station till 7.10 am to board the Vande Bharat train.'
This changed time was demanded
Railway revenue will increase
“Besides, devotees will prefer trains instead of their vehicles to go to Mantralayam for darshan of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy,” the minister said in his letter. This will generate more revenue for the department and reduce traffic congestion.
