He told that for the first time these vehicles will be used in the Maha Kumbh Mela.
CM Yogi himself can show the green signal
The official said that 4 'all-terrain vehicles' have reached Prayagraj and fire fighters are being trained to operate and use them. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath can inaugurate these four battery-powered vehicles and other equipment on November 25. Sharma said that 4 'all-terrain vehicles' have been brought to Prayagraj from Germany. He told that these vehicles costing about Rs 2.5 crore will be flagged off by CM Yogi himself. The officer said that the vehicle is equipped with fire fighting equipment including water tanks, taps and pumps, which will enable officials to take immediate action in case of fire and prevent the fire from spreading.
Speed is up to 60 kilometers per hour
Sharma said that these vehicles also have air compressor and 'Vampak fire extinguisher' along with other equipment and up to 9 liters of water can be sprayed from the gun. He said that it can also suppress the fire of flammable liquids and prevent it from re-igniting. The official said that in most major fire incidents, crews often have to face crowded areas, which makes it difficult to extinguish the fire. Sharma said that when there will be huge crowd present in all the areas during the Kumbh Mela, then in case of emergency, these vehicles will be able to reach the spot in a few seconds. This vehicle is capable of moving at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour in sand, mud and rough areas as well as in shallow water.
