Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed a charge sheet in the corruption case at RG Kar Medical College. CBI has filed a charge sheet in the court, in which former medical college principal Sandeep Ghosh has been made the main accused. CBI had prepared a charge sheet of 1000 pages. However the court has refused to accept it. Five people have been made accused in this charge sheet.

Names of total five accused

A CBI official said that the central investigating agency has also included the names of four other people in the 100-page charge sheet. All these people were arrested for their alleged involvement in irregularities. “Apart from former medical college principal Sandeep Ghosh (who has been suspended), the names of four other arrested accused are in the charge sheet,” the officer said. These include the names of Biplab Singh, Afsar Ali, Suman Hazra and Ashish Pandey.

The court rejected

However, the special CBI court at Alipore did not accept the charge sheet as the necessary official sanction for filing the charge sheet against any state government employee could not be obtained.
