Mumbai: Maharashtra assembly elections are near. In such a situation, all the parties are at the last stage of their preparations. Meanwhile, the statement of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has come to light. He has said that he will not beg in front of anyone for the victory of his son Amit Thackeray in the elections. It is noteworthy that Amit Thackeray is contesting from Mahim assembly seat.
What else did Raj Thackeray say?
Raj Thackeray said, 'I will not beg in front of anyone for Amit's victory. We will fight whoever comes in front and will definitely make Amit victorious in the elections. I never allowed politics to come into the family. I did not give a candidate to Aditya.
Raj Thackeray said, 'Don't field a candidate in front of my son, I did not call anyone for this.' Raj said, 'You must remember, when Uddhav was ill. Then I was the first one to go (to the hospital) by car. I was in Alibaug, I got a call from Balasaheb, he asked, did you know? I said yes, I have left (to go to the hospital). I never allowed politics to come into the family. When Aditya stood to contest from Worli seat, MNS has 37 to 38 thousand votes on this seat. Then I said that for the first time a member of our family is contesting elections. I will not field a candidate there and this was something that came from my mind.
Raj said, 'I did not call anyone that I was helping. Next time you take care of me. I don't beg like this unnecessarily. I did as much good as I could. Today when Amit is contesting elections, I will not beg. I had given him unconditional support in the last Lok Sabha elections. At that time it was not even in my mind that Amit would contest the elections. This was not even in my mind or in Amit's mind.
Raj Thackeray said, 'But after doing all this, after giving unconditional support, I just told him that, if you can do things in a good gesture then do it, otherwise don't do it. Only Amit is contesting the elections, so you can support the candidate, if you feel like it then do it or don't do it. Whoever comes forward will contest the elections and will definitely make them win.
