Once again a major accident has occurred in Indian Railways. 20 coaches of a goods train loaded with coal derailed in Chhattisgarh. Traffic was disrupted due to derailment of a goods train in Bilaspur railway division of Chhattisgarh. Railway officials said that a goods train derailed at 11.11 am on the up line between Khongsara and Bhanwartank stations on Bilaspur-Katni railway section under Bilaspur division of South East Central Railway.
The goods train had left from Bilaspur towards Katni.
Giving more information about this matter, the railway official said that the goods train loaded with coal had left from Bilaspur towards Katni. About 20 of its coaches derailed between Khongsara and Bhanwartunk stations. Officials said that after receiving information about the incident, the Railway Department team reached the spot and started repair work. There is no information about any casualty in this incident.
Route diversion was done for these trains
Railway official said that due to disruption in operations on this route due to the incident, some passenger trains are being sent to their destination through a diverted route. Puri-Yoganagari Rishikesh Utkal Express running on this route is being sent via the diverted route Bilaspur-Gondia-Jabalpur-Katni Murwara. He said that similarly, MCTM (Udhampur) Express is being sent via the diverted route Durg-Gondia-Jabalpur-Katni Murwara.
Help centers set up at important stations
Officials said that for the convenience of passengers, help centers have been set up at important stations like Bilaspur, Raigarh, Anuppur, Shahdol, Uslapur, Durg, Raipur and Gondia. Along with this, he said that information about the reasons for the incident has not been received yet. The situation will become clear only after investigation.
