Rio de Janeiro: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Monday (local time). During the meeting, the two leaders discussed enhancing cooperation in trade, investment and technology, including strengthening cultural and people-to-people relations.

After the meeting, PM Modi also made a post on social media platform X. In this post, while sharing pictures of the meeting, he wrote, “It was a pleasure to meet Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the Rio de Janeiro G20 Summit. Our conversation focused on deepening relations in defence, security, trade and technology. We discussed culture Also talked about promoting cooperation in education and other such areas.” Apart from this, he also discussed the friendship between India and Italy.
