Rohtas: On the occasion of Chhath Puja festival, six people drowned while taking bath in Son river in Tilothu and Dinara police station area, out of which three died. This accident has created an atmosphere of mourning in the entire area. The first incident took place in Tilothu police station area. Here Pathra residents Pintu Yadav (35 years), Sukhadi Yadav (40 years), Bablu Kumar (12 years) and Vikas Yadav (25 years) drowned while bathing in the Son river. Vikas Yadav was saved by the local people and volunteers present at the ghat and sent to PHC, where his condition is now stable. He has been sent to Sadar Hospital in Sasaram for better treatment.

Pintu Yadav was also taken out, but the doctors at the PHC declared him dead. The search for Sukhadi Yadav and his son Bablu Kumar is still going on. This accident has deeply shocked Virendra Yadav's family, as they have lost two of their sons and a grandson.

The second incident took place in Pipra of Dinara police station area.

Ayush Kumar (18 years), son of Ramji Singh, and Abhishek Kumar (22 years), son of late Rakesh Singh of Turki village of Bhanas police station area, drowned in the Son river. Abhishek had come to his maternal uncle's house. The bodies of both were removed and sent to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem, and will be handed over to their families after post-mortem. This incident has created an outcry among his family members.

The happy atmosphere turned into mourning

Tilothu police station chief said that as soon as the information was received, he reached the spot with his team and with the help of local people, two people were pulled out from the river. One of them died and the other was sent to Sasaram Sadar Hospital as his condition was critical. The search for the two missing people is going on, in which the help of local divers is being taken. This tragic incident has shaken the entire region. There is an atmosphere of mourning among the family members and mourning is prevalent in the entire area. This tragedy has made the happiness of the great festival of Chhath Puja sad.
