Jammu: PDP leader and Mehbooba Mufti's daughter Iltija Mufti has given a controversial statement regarding Hindutva. After his statement, a round of discussions has started in political circles. Iltija Mufti said that Hindutva is a philosophy of hatred.
What else did Iltija Mufti say?
Iltija Mufti said, 'There is a lot of difference between Hindutva and Hindu religion. Hindutva is a philosophy of hatred that was spread by Veer Savarkar in India in the 1940s. Whose objective was to establish the supremacy of Hindus and the philosophy was that India belongs to Hindus and is for Hindus.
He said that like Islam, Hinduism is also a religion that promotes secularism, love and compassion. Therefore, we should not deliberately distort it. The slogan of 'Jai Shri Ram' is not about 'Ramrajya' but it is being linked to lynching. It is very shameful that Hindu religion is being distorted. I criticized Hindutva because it is a disease.
