Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully completed testing of the Guided Pinaka Weapon System. This testing was part of the Provisional Staff Qualitative Requirements (PSQR) validation trial. Flight testing was conducted in three phases at various field firing ranges. During these tests, rockets were tested on a large scale. During this period, PSQR standards such as range, accuracy, stability and salvo mode (salvo is the simultaneous use of artillery or firearms involving firing of cannons to engage the target) were assessed as fire rate at multiple targets. Twelve (12) rockets from each production agency have been tested from two in-service Pinaka launchers upgraded by the launcher production agencies.
