Mushfiqur Rahim and Mustafizur Rahman are also out of selection due to their injuries and personal reasons. Shakib Al Hasan retired from Test and T20 cricket in September and did not even play the last ODI series against Afghanistan. However, BCB president Farooq Ahmed said that Shakib can be brought back into the team whenever he is ready. He said that he can still play for the team, but he has to be mentally prepared, because playing for a franchise and playing for the national team are different things. The three-match ODI series between West Indies and Bangladesh will start from December 8 and end on December 12. All matches will be played in St. Kitts.
