Something happened in the IPL 2025 mega auction which is almost impossible to believe. The name of Arjun Tendulkar, son of the great Sachin Tendulkar and who has played IPL before, was called in the IPL auction. But the surprising thing is that no team expressed interest in him. It was expected that at least Mumbai Indians would buy him at the base price, that too did not happen. But after this the tables turned again. After going unsold in the first round, his name was called again. Only then did Mumbai Indians finally have him in their fold.

Arjun could not play even a single match under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya

Arjun Tendulkar was playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL for two seasons before this. He also got a chance to play in the 2023 IPL, he performed well, but he could not make his place regular in the playing eleven. He played under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. He took his first IPL wicket by dismissing Bhuvneshwar Kumar. But when Hardik Pandya became the captain in the year 2024, he was not given a single chance. When he was not in the playing eleven, how would his talent be known?

Arjun Tendulkar came for base price of Rs 30 lakh

This time it was expected that if not someone else then at least the Mumbai Indians team would take him to their side. Earlier his base price was Rs 20 lakh. But this time BCCI itself had increased the base price of uncapped players from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. In the second round only Mumbai Indians bid on Arjun. No other team came forward to buy him. In this way, he again joined the Mumbai Indians team at the base price itself.

Arjun bowls fast

Arjun Tendulkar is not a batsman like his father, he is trying to make his future in fast bowling. Earlier he was playing Ranji Trophy for Mumbai, but when he did not get many opportunities, he went to Goa, where he was also seen playing. Along with bowling, he also occasionally shows his hand in batting.
