Xiaomi has introduced its cheapest 5G smartphone at the India Mobile Congress (IMC 2024). The Chinese brand has announced India's first smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 5G processor at Asia's biggest tech event. This is an entry level 5G smartphone, which has been specially designed for those users who are upgrading from feature phones to smartphones.

The company has introduced this phone in the name of Redmi A4 5G. While presenting the phone during the India Mobile Congress (IMC), Xiaomi has also revealed many of its features. A camera setup with circular ring design has been provided in the back of this phone. Flat display design will be seen in the front of the phone.

This Redmi phone will be launched with 90fps FHD+ display. A 12-bit dual ISP camera setup will be available in its back. Also, it will support dual frequency GNSS (L1+L5) and NAVIC. The company has not confirmed the specifications of the phone. During the India Mobile Congress, the company has showcased it in two color options.

Price less than Rs 10,000

A 50MP rear camera will be available in the back of this phone. Additionally, a secondary camera will also be provided. Punch-hole design has been given for selfie and video calling. Apart from this, 3.5mm audio jack will also be provided in this budget 5G smartphone. Xiaomi India President Muralikrishnan B said that the price of this phone will be kept less than Rs 10,000.

Xiaomi has completed 10 years in India. On this occasion, the company has introduced its cheap 5G smartphone on the lines of '5G for Everyone'. The company has set a target of selling 70 crore mobile devices in India in the next 10 years. In 2014, the company entered the Indian market with the Redmi Note series. Redmi Note 5 series has been the company's best-selling smartphone so far.
