The WhatsApp account of users from two dozen countries has been targeted by Israel's spyware company Paragon Solutions. This information has been given by WhatsApp's parent company META. In the past, there have been reports of dent in the Israeli door WhatsApp account. Meta officials have claimed that the company has sent a sease-end-dosist letter to Paragon regarding this burglary. In its statement, Meta has also said that it will continue to protect the accounts of its users so that users can privately communicate on their platforms.
90 users targeted
Israeli company Paragon has not reacted at the moment in this case. WhatsApp officials have claimed that an attempt has been made to target the account of about 90 users from two dozen countries. Most of these are users of Janerslist and members of the Civil Society. However, Meta has not shared any specific user information. Most of the users attacked by the Israeli spyware company are from Europe. These users shared many spy -ware electronics documents without any interaction to these users.
META has claimed that WhatsApp has stopped the efforts of hackers in between. However, the company has not explained how it has discovered that paragon has attacked this attack. WhatsApp has informed the US agency about this attack.
Canada based Internet Watchdog Group Citizen Labs has said that Israeli's spyware company targets paragon users by sending reminders etc. The Israeli company sells high and surveillance software to the government to protect crime and national security. However, targeting journalists or civil society users through such tools is a matter of investigation. Earlier, there has been a lot of uproar over the target of WhatsApp users by the spyware of Israeli company Pegasus.
