Delhi Election 2025 The bugle has sounded. Voting for the assembly elections will be held in the National Capital Region on 5th February next month. While announcing the assembly elections to be held in Delhi, the Election Commissioner has urged the people of Delhi to complain about irregularities. Also, he told them that there will be a 'weapon' in the hands of the public, through which they can immediately stop the irregularities in the elections.
The Election Commissioner said that this 'weapon' present in the hands of every voter i.e. smartphone will help in preventing any kind of irregularities during the campaign. The public can use this to complain to us. Immediate action will be taken upon receiving the complaint. Not only this, complaints about violation of election code of conduct can also be made online through this weapon.
How to report?
The Election Commission has launched the CVIGIL app some time ago, through which voters can complain about irregularities during the election campaign. This app of Election Commission of India (ECI) is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. To download it, Android and iOS users can visit Play Store and App Store.
After downloading the app, the CIVIL app will take some information from the voter, which includes name, address (including state and district name) along with assembly details. After completion of the registration process, the homepage of the app will open, where voters will have to scroll down. On doing this many options will appear.
Here you can report anything from code of conduct violations to irregularities during voting at the polling booth, etc.
After logging in to the app, register your complaint and then upload the audio or video as proof.
The Election Commission says that action will be taken on complaints made on this app within 100 hours. On this app of the Election Commission, the complaint will reach the existing magistrate of the area where the complaint is lodged through the app. After this, punishment will be given for the crime.
