Vodafone has claimed that no hardware has been upgraded to the smartphone for this satellite video call service. This satellite video calling service can be availed from a simple 4G/5G smartphone. Vodafone did this video call from the remote location of Wales Mountains, where no Teresial Mobile Network is present. The company's CEO Margita Dela Valle has given this information.

Users will be able to make satellite calls without network using this technology at the time of emergency.

This service of Vodafone can be taken through AST Space Mobile's Low-Economic (Leo) satellite. The company has named its satellite broadband service as Bluebird. The company claims that in this satellite broadband service, users will get internet access at speed of 120MBPS. Users can access this service with the current 4G/5G network. For this, no additional hardware will be required in users' smartphones. This technology of Vodafone can prove to be a game changer for digital connectivity in the coming time.
