Aadhaar Card has become a very important document in today's time. It is used wherever ID proof is required. Without Aadhar card we cannot apply for any kind of government scheme. In such a situation, if any kind of wrong information is entered on our Aadhaar card, it can cause big trouble.
Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) provides the facility of correction in this to Aadhaar holders. You can do some corrections yourself sitting at home while there are some corrections for which you have to go to the Aadhaar center. Let us tell you that recently UIDAI has made a major change in its rules. UIDAI has made the process of changing name in Aadhaar more difficult than before.
Gadget notification will be needed
The decision to make the process of changing or correcting name in Aadhaar card difficult has been taken so that cases of fraud can be stopped. According to Unique Identification Authority of India, if you want to modify the name present in your Aadhaar card, then now users will need Gazette Notification.
Whether you change the full name in the Aadhaar card or change some letters of the name, that is, you want to make some minor corrections, in both the conditions you will need gadget notification. Along with the gadget notification, customers will also be required to submit some other ID proof. The second ID proof must contain the full name of the Aadhaar holder. For this you can use PAN card, Voter ID, driving license, service ID card and passport.
Now all these tasks will be done easily
If you want to change the name written in your Aadhar card, then you have to keep in mind that UIDAI gives only two chances to change the name. While UIDAI has made the process of name change difficult, it has made the process easy for address update or new enrollment. Now passbook of any public sector bank can also be used for these purposes.
