Streambox Media has launched India's first subscription based TV OS. It will bring a new revolution in the home entertainment segment of India. The Micromax-backed start-up company's smart TVs will come with DorOS, in which users will be given subscription to more than 300 live TV channels and 24 OTT apps, including Amazon Prime Video, JioCinema, Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, YouTube, Lionsgate Play, Zee5. etc. are included. 24 OTT apps and more than 300 channels

In the startup company's DorOS, users will be given access to 24 OTT apps and more than 300 digital TV channels. For this the company has kept a monthly subscription of Rs 799. This subscription based TV operating system is going to pose a challenge to Tata Play, Airtel Xstream TV etc. AI powered search feature has been provided in this TV operating system, which will help the users to easily choose the entertainment program of their choice.

Anuj Gandhi, Founder and CEO, Streambox Media, said, “The connected TV industry is growing rapidly and it is very important to understand the changing consumer priorities. According to recent research, by the year 2027, the number of connected TV households in India The number is expected to exceed 100 million, up from just 40 million in 2023. This has also been seen in India's OTT market, which is on-demand. This is expected to grow from $2 billion in 2023 to $5 billion by 2027 due to the growth of consumer preferences for content.

4K OLED TV

Streambox has also launched 4K QLED TV equipped with this operating system, which is available in 43 inches, 55 inches and 65 inches. Of these, the 43-inch model will be made available for sale on the e-commerce platform Flipkart from December 1, 2024. The other two models can be purchased from next year. The company will charge Rs 10,799 for this. In this, there will be a one-time activation charge of Rs 9,999 for TV and a monthly subscription of Rs 799. Users will get free subscription with TV for the first month. At the same time, for the next 12 months, users will be charged a monthly subscription of Rs 799. After this, users will be able to customize the plan as per their convenience.
