Intimidated in the name of misuse of Aadhaar card

Scammers adopted the video call method to make digital arrest so that the victim can be convinced. On video call, the scammers introduced themselves as Mumbai Police officers and threatened to arrest if they did not cooperate in the investigation. In the name of investigation, scammers took bank and personal details from the victim software engineer. After this, Rs 11.83 crore was looted from his bank through different transactions. After this incident the software engineer complained about it. Police are currently investigating this matter.

Don't make this mistake too

In most of the cases of digital arrest, cyber criminals call people posing as officials of some big department and then try to scare them. You do not need to panic if you receive any such call. You have to listen to them calmly and then disconnect the call. Let us tell you that no officer from any department makes calls like this.

Not only this, do not panic if you get a fraud call and give any of your personal information to hackers. Also, report that call on Sanchar Saathi portal or by calling 1930. In most of the cases of digital arrest, hackers take the help of social engineering and cheat people by intimidating them.
