People don't notice
Taking advantage of this technical glitch in the ATM machine of State Bank of India, two people have committed a fraud of Rs 2.52 lakh. This fraud is carried out through stolen debit cards, in which no one even gets a clue. According to the report, scammers first steal people's debit cards. After this, taking advantage of the technical glitch of the ATM machine, they withdraw money. Generally, as soon as money is deducted from any account, the user receives an SMS, which contains information about the money being deducted, but due to this technical glitch, neither money is deducted from the user's account nor the message is sent to them. . However, the money goes missing from the ATM machine.
What is a technical glitch?
Withdrawal of money is done after entering the card and PIN in the ATM machine of SBI or any bank. Hackers also follow the same process, but while withdrawing money, they leave a note in the machine, due to which the ATM machine thinks that money has not been withdrawn from the account and the remaining note comes back to the machine. . Because of this, money is not deducted from anyone's account, but money goes missing from the ATM machine.
This technical glitch came to light when the bank found that money was withdrawn from the ATM but was not withdrawn from anyone's account. After this, when the bank employees checked the CCTV footage installed in the ATM machine, it was found that the scammers had defrauded the bank by taking advantage of the Timed out technical glitch in a very smart way. Two people were suspected after committing such fraud with several ATM machines. Later it was revealed that they were doing all this using stolen ATM cards.
