While sharing a video from its official X handle, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) said that 333 new mobile towers have been deployed for the Maha Kumbh. More than 70 more portable mobile towers will be installed. Due to installation of more than 400 new mobile towers, users will not face any problem in calling and using data.
There is going to be a lot of crowd in Prayagraj during Mahakumbh. In such a situation, these temporary mobile towers have been installed to stay connected with family members. The Department of Telecommunications has installed mobile towers around the Sangam bank. Lakhs of devotees will reach the Sangam banks during Mahakumbh, due to which there is a possibility of network congestion problem. These mobile towers will relieve users from call drops.

During Mahakumbh, telecom operators Airtel, BSNL, Jio and Vodafone Idea can activate intracircle roaming, due to which if the user has an Airtel number, he will be able to make calls using Jio or Vodafone-Idea network. However, telecom operators have not announced this yet.
