On behalf of the Telecom Department of the Central Government, telecom companies Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL have been asked to run cyber crime awareness caller tune for their customers. The department has asked telecom companies to play this caller tune 8-10 times a day. This is the reason why sometimes you hear it and sometimes not.
Caller tune will change every week
In the instructions given to the telecom companies, it has been said that this caller tune will be provided by the Indian Cyber Crime Co-ordination Centre. This order has been issued by the department just a few days ago. Caller tune related to cyber crime will be provided to telecom companies every week. Meaning you will hear a new caller tune every week.
