TRAI OTP Message Traceability Rule: Ever since the use of internet and smartphones has increased, scams, cyber fraud, spam calls and spam messages have also increased rapidly. However, now crores of mobile users across the country are going to get relief from spam messages forever. TRAI is going to implement Message Traceability rule to track commercial messages across the country. For this, the time period given by TRAI to Jio, Airtel, BSNL and Vi has also ended.
New rules will come into effect from December 11
Let us tell you that TRAI had given time till 30 November 2024 to all the telecom operators to implement Message Traceability. This rule was to be implemented from December 1, but later on the demand of the service provider, an extension of 10 days was given. TRAI is going to implement these rules from 11th November i.e. tomorrow. This means that from December 11, you will not receive those messages which are not part of telemarketing. An official press release has also been issued by TRAI regarding the new rules.
Fake messages will be controlled
After implementation of Message Traceability, commercial messages and OTP related messages can be easily tracked. This will also help telecom operators to stop spam messages and fake messages. Taking advantage of the lack of message tracing, mobile users are being cheated in different ways by making them victims of fraud, but now this too will be curbed.
There will be no delay in getting OTP
Let us tell you that when TRAI was asked to implement traceability for the first time to track OT based messages, it was believed that this could also cause delay in receiving OTP. But later TRAI completely rejected this. Giving information about this, TRAI had said that OTP Traceability is being implemented for the convenience of mobile users. Along with this, this new rule will also bring transparency. TRAI said that even after traceability is implemented, OTP will be delivered to users on time.
Information- If you want to port on BSNL then first know about FRC, without this the connection will not start.
