How to get counter tickets online?
To cancel the offline ticket taken from the PRS counter, you have to visit the IRCTC website.
Here you will get a canceled ticket option. After clicking on it, you will get the option to cancel the counter ticket.
Here then you go to this website (https://www.opence.irctc.co.in/ctcan/systemtktcanlogin.jsf).
After this, you have to enter the security captcha with the PNR number and train number given on the counter ticket.

Then an OTP i.e. one time password will come on your mobile number, after entering the option to cancel the ticket.
Keep in mind that this OTP will be received on the mobile number you have recorded on the form while taking the counter ticket.
Then you will get a dialog box on the screen, which will get the details of the passengers after confirming it.
After this, tap on submit button and thus your PRS counter ticket will be canceled.
How to get refund?
To take a ticket refund from the PRS counter, one has to go to the nearest PRS counter. Only after submitting the canceled ticket at the PRS counter, you will get the refund amount of the ticket. Keep in mind that according to the rules of the railway, if you have canceled the confirmed ticket, then you will have to go to the PRS counter 4 hours before the schedule departure of the train. At the same time, on canceling the waiting list or RAC ticket, you can get refund by submitting tickets at the PRS counter 30 minutes before the schedule departure.
