Google Maps gave the wrong route, due to which these people went to an under construction bridge and their car fell down from the bridge. In such a situation, you will have to keep some things in mind while using Google Maps, otherwise it can prove fatal for you too.

- First of all, before using Google Maps, check whether the app in your smartphone is updated or not. If Google Maps is not updated in your smartphone then it can provide you wrong information. In such a situation, keep updating the maps from time to time.
- The company continues to bring new features for Google Maps. In such a situation, you should stay updated about these features. Not only this, if you feel that the map is showing an unknown or narrow path, then you should seek help from a local person. Many times the route information is not updated on Google Maps. In such a situation, it may prove risky for you.
- If you are going to an unknown place using Google Maps, then select the Street View option in the app before searching for directions. If you zoom the map in Street View, you will know where the road is narrow and where the road has been closed.
- To turn on Street View, tap on the icon above the compass in the map and select Street View from there. After this, search the location of where you are going and turn on the direction. Before driving, check the direction shown in Google Maps by zooming from one location to another. By doing this you will get an idea of the route and then you will be able to reach the right place by following the map. Many times road closure or other information is not updated in Google Maps. You will get accurate information about the route in Street View.
