Voting for the assembly elections will be held in the national capital Delhi on 5 February. After Delhi elections, elections are going to be held in many more states this year. The Election Commission has launched a web portal as well as an app for making voter ID card, making any correction in it, downloading the voter list etc. This app of Election Commission is very useful. Through this app you will be able to do all the work related to Voter ID.
The Election Commission has shared this information from its official X handle. Apart from this app, the Election Commission has mentioned three more apps, through which you can get information related to elections. Among these apps, through CVIGIL app, you can give information about election related irregularities, violation of code of conduct etc. to the Election Commission. Whereas, the other two apps are for the candidates participating in the elections.
VHA app
This app of the Election Commission has been specially designed for voters. Through this app, voters can check their voter list as well as download polling booth information and voting slips etc. This app of Election Commission is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. After downloading the app, you will have to register your mobile number, e-mail ID etc. on it. After this you can use this app for many purposes.
- Through this app you can apply online form for new voter ID.
- Apart from this you can check your name in the voter list.
- Not only this, you can get information about polling booth through this app.
- Also, you will be able to contact your BLO or ERO through this app.
- You can also download e-EPIC i.e. Voter Slip through this app.
CVIGIL App
Through this app, you can complain about irregularities in elections, violation of code of conduct etc. The Election Commission claims that action will be taken on complaints made through this app within 100 minutes. Apart from this, citizens will also be able to download photos or videos on this app as evidence while making a complaint. Apart from this, KYC and Suvidha Portal app has been brought for the candidates contesting the elections. Candidates can submit their affidavit etc. through KYC app. Also, through Suvidha portal, candidates will be able to take permission for election campaign and rally etc.
