WhatsApp A new case of fraud through internet has come to light. A Kerala man has lost Rs 4.05 crore by downloading the app on his phone through a link sent on Meta's instant messaging app. Many scam cases have already come to light through WhatsApp, but this case of Kerala is quite different. The hackers first trapped the young man and then defrauded him of crores of rupees by luring him in the name of investment.
If reports are to be believed, a 45-year-old man from Tripunithura, Kerala has lost Rs 4.05 crore after falling into the trap of hackers. This matter is also serious because the hackers had trapped the person in their trap for the last 2.5 (two and a half) months and he did not even get a clue. First the hackers lured the person to invest through social engineering. In order to earn high returns, the person agreed to everything the hackers said and wasted his hard-earned money. The hackers asked the man to download an app for investment. For this, APK link was sent to him through WhatsApp message.
Using the APK link sent through WhatsApp message, the person first downloaded the app on his smartphone and then, lured by the lure of high returns, allegedly invested his earnings. The hackers kept on luring the person to invest by luring them with good returns and the person kept investing the money without thinking anything. By the time he understood something, a big fraud had happened to him. Police have registered an FIR on this matter and are investigating it.
