The effect of TRAI's new order is now visible. Telecom companies have listed cheap plans without data for the users. These plans come with unlimited calling and free SMS. The telecom regulator had issued an order last month that telecom companies should launch cheap plans without data keeping in mind the 2G users. Following the order of TRAI, Jio, Airtel and Vi had recently launched their plans without data.
However, later private companies revised their plans and made them cheaper. TRAI had told through its official handle that the plans without data of telecom companies will be reviewed. After this, Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea revised their data-free plans. At the same time, government company BSNL is already offering cheap plans without data to its users. In this plan of BSNL, users get more validity as compared to private companies and also have to spend less.
BSNL voice only plan
BSNL has shared information about its data-free plan through its official X handle. This plan of the government telecom company comes for Rs 439. In this plan, users get validity of 90 days. In this plan of BSNL, users get the benefit of unlimited calling to any number across the country as well as free national roaming. Apart from this, users get the benefit of 300 SMS for free. No data is offered to users in this plan. If users want data then they can recharge their number with the data pack.
Voice only plan of Jio and Airtel
Jio and Airtel offer 84 days validity to their users in a plan without data. For Jio's plan, users have to spend Rs 448. In this plan also, users get the benefit of 1,000 free SMS along with unlimited calling. At the same time, Airtel's 84-day voice only plan comes for Rs 469. In this plan, users are given the benefit of 900 SMS for free along with unlimited calling.
