BSNL has once again prepared to surprise the users. The government telecom company is currently offering cheap recharge plans to the users. The company is soon going to fulfill the dream of users of cheap smartphones. This step of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has given sleepless nights to private telecom operators Airtel and Jio. Both these companies are offering smartphones to the users at cheap rates. For this, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has partnered with Karbonn, a brand that has disappeared from the market.

BSNL's big bet

BSNL India has shared a post related to its Foundation Day from its official X handle. The government company said in its post that BSNL has signed an MoU with Karbonn, in which users will be offered exclusive smartphones under the Bharat 4G Companion Policy. The company said in its post that it will provide smartphones to 4G smartphone users at an affordable rate.

Karbonn used to sell Android smartphones in India till a few years ago. In the last decade, the company had a good hold in the feature phone and smartphone markets. After the entry of Chinese brands in the Indian market, the user base of the company kept decreasing. However, the company has once again decided to make a fresh start. For this, Karbonn Mobiles has partnered with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.

Like JioPhone, BSNL will offer Karbonn's cheap 4G feature phone to its users. At present, the government telecom company is upgrading its network to improve its connectivity across the country. Not only this, BSNL has also started testing 5G.
