If you use Reliance Jio SIM then there is good news for you. Actually, a big alert has been issued by Reliance Jio for crores of its users. Jio has issued a new advisory in which the company has warned its users about a new type of cyber fraud. Jio said in its advisory that cyber criminals are giving missed calls from international numbers to make people victims of fraud.

Let us tell you that the government and telecom companies are continuously making efforts to curb cyber fraud. On the other hand, criminals are constantly adopting new methods to commit fraud. Meanwhile, Jio has warned crores of users about a new type of scam.

The company has also sent a mail in this regard to its users. In the email, the company said that scammers are making missed calls from international numbers to commit fraud. If you get a missed call from an international number, do not call back even by mistake. The company has asked to beware of premium rate service scam involving missed calls.

Jio said that many such cases have come to light in which calls are coming from international numbers. When calling back on these numbers, one has to pay very high per minute charges for premium rate service calls. Due to this, a lot of money is charged within a few minutes. The company has advised users not to call back on missed calls coming from such international numbers. Jio has asked to block such numbers immediately.

This is how this scam works

Let us tell you that in this scam, scammers first make short calls to the users. In case of a missed call, as soon as a user calls back, that call is connected to the premium service. This premium service is so expensive that you cannot even imagine. Many times such calls are charged up to Rs 100 per minute. To avoid any suspicion, scammers make missed calls from the same numbers again and again. Therefore, if you receive a call from an international number, do not respond to it but block it immediately. Let us tell you that if +91 is not prefixed to any number then it means that the call is an international call.
