According to the report of 9to5google, the system apps present in the phones of many Android users are not visible in the list of available updates, due to which these apps have to be updated manually. This problem has been seen in Google's Android System Intelligence, Data Restore Tool, Google Partner Setup, Google Wi-Fi Provisioner, Settings Services and YouTube apps.
Many users were affected
Due to this problem in Google Play Store, pre-installed apps in multiple devices have been affected. However, users can update these apps one by one manually by going to Google Play Store. Users see updates of system apps in the phone, but as soon as the user presses the button to update them, no update is downloaded.
However, if reports are to be believed, Google is also keeping an eye on this bug or glitch. Soon, an update may be released to fix this problem. If you have a phone with Android 7 or earlier, you will no longer get any updates from Google.
changes in play store
However, the report says that this problem in Android smartphones has come due to the change in the policy of Google Play Service. Google has made this change in the Play Store deliberately. As soon as users see the notification of pending download on their phone screen, they get to update some system apps. As soon as users tap to update these apps, they do not update. Users can update these apps manually from Google Play Store.
