Like Netflix, Amazon is also going to give a big shock to its Prime Video users. The OTT platform is going to reduce the device limit in the new year. The company offers subscription of Prime Video and Prime Music to Amazon Prime users without any extra charge. According to a report, Amazon Prime Video users will no longer be able to share their password with their friends because the company is going to reduce the device limit.
Device limit will be reduced
Like Netflix or other OTT apps, Amazon Prime Video users will now be able to log in to fewer devices simultaneously than before. According to tipster Ishan Aggarwal, Amazon has decided to halve the device limit. Currently, Amazon Prime Video users can access the OTT platform on 10 devices simultaneously. In the coming time, its limit will be reduced to 5. Apart from this, users will be able to log in to the Prime Video app only on two smart TVs.
However, like other OTT apps, users will be able to manage their devices whenever they want. Users will be able to log out from devices that do not require logging in. Earlier, Amazon Prime Video's rival platform Netflix had ended password sharing in India. Now Netflix users need a temporary code to log in on more than one device. Users will be able to access Netflix only on devices connected to the home Wi-Fi network.
Prime subscription
Annual subscription of Amazon Prime comes for Rs 1,499. In this, users get access to Prime Video on both TV and mobile devices. At the same time, one month subscription is available for Rs 299 and three months subscription is available for Rs 599. Apart from this, Amazon has also launched a plan for mobile edition of Prime Video, in which users can access Amazon Prime Video only on their smartphones.
