The ICC has suffered a major setback before the Champions Trophy. ICC Chief Executive Officer i.e. CEO Geoff Alardis has resigned from his post. A member of the board has indicated that his failure to present a clear picture of the reduction in the preparation of the host Pakistan is one of the several reasons for this resignation. Alardis was associated with Cricket Australia as a Cricket General Manager in the ICC in 2012. The 57 -year -old sports administrator was appointed CEO in November 2021 after acting as a caretaker CEO for eight months. The ICC has suffered a major setback by the CEO resignation a few days before the Champions Trophy.
Alardis said in her statement that working as CEO (CEO) of ICC is a privilege for her. I am incredibly proud of the results we have achieved from increasing the global reach of cricket to creating a commercial basis for ICC members. The ICC board will now begin the process of searching for the heir of Alardis.

Champions Trophy is eagerly waiting
