Karnataka's teenage sensation Dhinidhi Desinghu continued his brilliant performance in swimming and won his fifth gold medal at the 38th National Games on Saturday. Apart from Dhinidhi, Paris Olympian Srihari Nataraj also won the gold medal and dominated Karnataka in the Games swimming. 14 -year -old Dhinidhi gave Karnataka a gold medal in 4 times the women's freestyle relay.
The other three members of the Karnataka team are Shirin, Shalini R Dixit and Meenakshi Menon. In this event, Gujarat (7: 49.71 minutes) and Maharashtra (7: 55.62 minutes) won silver and bronze medals respectively. Earlier this week, Dhinidhi won the gold medal in women's 200m freestyle, 100 meter butterfly, 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay and 50m freestyle events.
Srihari Natraj won
Srihari Nataraja ensured the gold medal for the team in the team relay in the men's four times 200 meters of freestyle. Srihari, Dakshan S, Shon Ganguly and Aneesh S Gowda's quartet topped the top position with a time of 7: 45.82 minutes. Vidith S Shankar won the third gold medal of the day in swimming for Karnataka with a time of 29.12 seconds in men's 50m breaststroke.
Women's 50m breaststroke gold was won by Harshita Jairam of Kerala. Who took out a time of 34.14 seconds. Sajan Prakash of Kerala won the Gold Medal of Men's 200 meter butterfly with an impressive time of 2: 01.40 minutes, while the women's event was won by Dhriti Ahirwal (2: 23.80) of Maharashtra.
Punjab pair in shooting
On the other hand, the Punjab pair of Arjun Babuta and Ojaswi Thakur won the gold medal in the 10 meter rifle mixed team event on the fourth day on Saturday. Arjun and Ojaswi defeated the pair of Arya Borsse and Rudraksh Patil of Maharashtra 16–12 in a close match for the gold medal at the Trishul shooting campus.
