One name included in the squad of Chennai Super Kings team in IPL 2025 is 18-year-old player Andre Siddharth, who is playing for Tamil Nadu team in the current season of Ranji Trophy. Andre played a brilliant century in the match against Chandigarh that started on January 23 and also helped his team out of a difficult situation.

In the match being played in Elite Group D between Tamil Nadu and Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu team got a chance to bat first in which they lost four wickets at the score of 126 in their first innings, after which Andre Siddharth along with Baba Inderjit. Not only handled the innings but also made a partnership of more than 100 runs for the 5th wicket. While Baba Inderjit returned to the pavilion after playing an inning of 49 runs, Andre Siddharth had an excellent innings of 106 runs in 143 balls in which he also hit 10 fours and three sixes. Due to this innings of Andre, Tamil Nadu team managed to reach the score of 301 runs in its first innings.

In the mega auction of IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings team made Andre Siddharth a part of its squad for Rs 30 lakh. If we look at the record of this 18 year old player, now Andre Siddharth has scored more than 400 runs in 5 first class matches and has also played one century and 4 half-century innings. In the List-A format, Andre has played three matches so far and in them he has scored a total of 40 runs at an average of 20.
