Tulsi plant can be found in most of the houses in India. Planting a Tulsi plant at home is considered very auspicious and sacred. It is said that the house where there is a Tulsi plant brings happiness and prosperity. Tulsi plant is worshiped in many festivals. If the Tulsi plant remains green then it is lucky. However, the basil plant often dries up and dies in winter. The reason for this is not taking proper care of the Tulsi plant. The basil plant starts drying up in severe winter. How to take care of basil plant in winter

Do not keep in open- In winter there is frost at night, which the basil plant cannot tolerate. Therefore, do not keep the Tulsi plant in an open place during winter. Keep the basil plant in a lightly shaded place or indoors. Keep the plant in a place where it gets light sunlight in the morning. Keep it near the window so that it gets light and air. If basil is kept in the open then cover it with a thick cloth.

Avoid excessive fertilizer watering- Tulsi plant does not require much water and fertilizer in winter. Water does not dry up in winter, so the roots of the plant can rot due to excessive watering. Do not add any kind of manure or any fertilizer to the basil plant from December to January.

Basil plant care tips- For good growth of the basil plant, water it only after the soil dries completely. In winter, weed the plant once a week. If the plant is growing then cut it in winter. If flowers are growing on the plant then cut them. This will improve the growth of the plant and your basil plant will remain green.
