Ingredients for Makhana Kheer:
2 cups makhana, half liter milk, one cup sugar, 2 spoons ghee, half spoon cardamom powder, some pieces of cashews, almonds and pistachios, a pinch of saffron, a pinch of turmeric.
How to make Makhana Kheer?

First step: To make Makhana Kheer, first turn on the gas, keep a pan and add 2 spoons of ghee in it. When the ghee becomes hot, add 2 cups of makhana in it. Now roast the makhana well until it turns brown and crisp. When they become crunchy, take them out in another vessel. Now grind these roasted makhana coarsely.

Second step: Now pour half liter milk in a deep vessel and boil it. When the milk boils, add coarsely ground makhana to it and stir well.

Third step: Keep in mind that kheer has to be cooked on medium flame only. Now add one cup sugar, half teaspoon cardamom powder, some pieces of cashews, almonds and pistachios, a pinch of saffron and a pinch of turmeric and keep stirring.

Fourth step: 2 Makhana will start mixing well with milk due to which the kheer will start thickening. After about 15 to 20 minutes, turn off the gas. Your hot and flavourful Makhana Kheer is ready.
