Never wash your hair with hot water:
Doctor Shivangi says that one should not wash hair with hot water even by mistake. Washing hair with hot water can cause many damages to the hair. Hot water weakens the hair roots, due to which hair starts breaking easily. Hot water can cause the scalp to lose moisture, which can lead to dandruff. Hot water can reduce the shine of hair. Hot water breaks the hydrogen bonds of the hair, causing the hair to swell by about 18%. Hot water makes hair porous. If you have colored your hair, do not wash it with hot water. This can damage your hair and also cause color loss.
Lukewarm water can be used for hair wash:
The doctor says that you can use lukewarm water but not hot water to wash your hair. After washing hair with lukewarm water, the last rinse of hair should be given with cold water. Cold water closes the hair cuticles and gives a glossy look to the hair.
