Mehndi is included in the sixteen adornments of women. Be it a wedding or any Teej festival, it is considered incomplete without Mehndi. This year, the fast of Karva Chauth will be observed on Sunday, 20th October. That means only 2 days are left for this fast. Even for the fast of Karva Chauth, women get very beautiful and creatively designed mehndi applied. The color of henna on the hands of many women is not bright red due to which they get disappointed. It is obvious that unless the color of mehendi becomes deep, it is not fun. In such a situation, you can make the color of mehendi darker by following these tips.

tea leaves and sugar: To deepen the color of mehendi, make a solution of tea leaves and sugar and apply it on mehendi. When it dries, rub off the henna and apply ghee. This makes the color of mehndi darker.

clove: Clove is beneficial in enhancing the color of mehendi. To deepen the color of Mehndi, take a compress of cloves. Lightly heat some cloves on the pan and place your hands over the smoke. The heat generated by this deepens the color.

eucalyptus oil– To make the color of mehendi dark red, apply eucalyptus oil on your hands before applying mehendi. Even after applying henna, you can apply a mixture of oils like eucalyptus or lavender on the design.

Do not water immediately, After the mehendi dries, gently scrape off the henna paste without using water. Avoid washing it immediately.

Sugar and Lemon: When the mehendi dries, apply a mixture of sugar and lemon juice over the design. This traditional Ayurvedic remedy acts like a sealant, blocking heat and enhancing the complexion. Also, avoid washing your hands for at least 6-8 hours to allow the mehendi to set properly.
