Can a dirty tea strainer be dangerous?
Tea strainer has fine holes. Small particles of tea leaves get stuck in these holes. If the filter is not cleaned properly, these particles gradually start accumulating and then it becomes difficult to clean them. Fungi and bacteria start growing in this dirt. While filtering the tea, it reaches your stomach and causes infection.
How to clean tea strainer
First method- The best way is to soak the tea strainer in a solution of hot water and vinegar and then clean it after 15-20 minutes by scrubbing it with an old toothbrush. Vinegar will kill the bacteria growing in the filter and the filter will become clean.
Second way- Another way to clean the tea strainer is baking soda and lemon, yes, sprinkle some baking soda on the tea strainer first. Now squeeze the lemon juice. After this, clean the filter with the help of liquid soap and brush. This will clean the tea filter.
Third method- The third and easiest way is if your tea strainer is made of steel then keep it on fire i.e. gas flame for some time. All the trapped leaves and germs will be burnt.
