These days it is carrot season. Be sure to include carrots in your diet. Many types of sweet dishes are made from carrots which are sweet in taste and rich in nutrients. Today we are telling you an easy way to make Gajarela or carrot kheer. Once you taste this carrot kheer, you will make it and eat it every day. The taste of carrot kheer is such that even carrot halwa will seem bland to you. Know the recipe for making carrot kheer.

Recipe for making Gajarela or Carrot Kheer

First step- To make Gajarela, you have to take 2 liters of milk. Light the gas and keep the milk to boil in a pan or wok. Take half cup of broken rice and soak them in water for 1 hour. If you do not have broken rice then crush the whole rice lightly in a mixer.

Second step- Put the rice in milk and keep mixing while stirring continuously. Take about one and a half cup grated carrots and mix it in milk. Now cook while stirring continuously until the rice is cooked. When the rice is cooked well, cover the pan and reduce the flame to low and cook for 30 minutes.

Third step- Keep stirring the carrot kheer or gajrela in between. When the carrots and rice are cooked well and the milk becomes slightly thick, add half a teaspoon of cardamom powder and some chopped dry fruits to it. Now add 1 cup sugar in it. If you want, you can add more or less sugar as per your taste.

Fourth step- Now mix all the things and cook till it becomes slightly thick. Cook everything while stirring on medium flame. Now add half cup milk powder in it. Although this is optional for you. When it becomes slightly thick, turn off the gas. It will become even thicker as it cools. Gajarela or carrot kheer is ready. Decorate it with dry fruits and silver work.

Fifth step- Gajarela or this carrot kheer tastes very tasty. You can prepare this kheer and serve it to the guests at home. It tastes very tasty. You can feed it to children also. You will like this sweet dish made from carrots the most.
