Eucalyptus: A wild elephant attacked a forest department team patrolling at night in Nilgiri district of Tamil Nadu. The elephant broke the glass of the forest team's vehicle. Two forest department employees were injured in the attack. The matter is being reported from Pandalur in Nilgiri district. The incident is said to have happened last night. The forest department team captured the video of the incident in their mobile phone.

According to the information, this incident happened when the forest department officials were patrolling in a jeep. During patrolling, an elephant came on the road. The forest workers were trying to take back their vehicle but suddenly the elephant ran and attacked and broke the glass of the vehicle and overturned the jeep. Somehow these people saved their lives.

Even in November, an elephant had injured a forest worker.

Earlier in November, a wild elephant had attacked and injured an employee in the Masinagudi forest range of Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) in the Nilgiris. Forest sources said that although the elephant was standing 50 meters away from the forest staff, it suddenly ran towards him at 4.30 pm, causing panic. A forest official said Maran was out of danger, but some of his teeth were broken and his hand and hip were injured. After first aid at Masinagudi Primary Health Centre, he was taken to Udhagamandalam Government Hospital for treatment, where doctors referred him for a scan of his head.

One dead in elephant attack in Odisha

On the other hand, a 40-year-old man was killed and two forest officers were seriously injured in an elephant attack near Bandhanpali village in Balangir district of Odisha. The deceased was identified as Rupesh Chhatriya of Degaon village. The incident occurred around 4:30 pm, when a forest patrol team was monitoring the elephant's movements.
