Noida International Airport will soon emerge as the largest airport in the country. Today i.e. on 9th December the first commercial flight will land on the runway of the airport. Airport officials say that runway trials are being conducted after the green signal from DGCA. All preparations for this have been done. Earlier it was to land at 11 am on Monday morning but now it has been rescheduled and now this flight will land at the airport at 2 pm as a trial.
According to Nile officials, the Airport Authority of India aircraft will land at Noida International Airport. The trial process will be completed through landing and take off of the aircraft on the runway. The trial of flying the aircraft at the airport is starting from Monday i.e. 9th December, which will continue till 15th December.
When will the service start?
NILE officials further said that after this, an application will be made to DGCA for aerodrome license to start commercial services from the airport. It is believed that if the trial run is completed on time, commercial flights will start at Noida Airport from April 17, 2025. CAT-1 and CAT-3 devices have been installed at the airport, which provide information about the altitude and visibility of the aircraft in fog. Instrument Landing System (ILS) has also been installed at the airport, which has been tested from October 10 to 14 through the aircraft Beech King Air 360 ER.
Flights to where
The airport will have 60 domestic flights starting in April. A contract has been signed with Indigo and Akasa for this. In domestic service, there will be air services to major cities like Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Mumbai, etc. Two cargo services will start along with international flights to Zurich, Singapore and Dubai.
A glimpse of Indian culture will be seen
Now only the construction work of the terminal building is left at the airport. Interior decoration will start after the civil work. There will be a glimpse of Indian culture in this also. Indian culture has been kept at the center in the design of the airport terminal building. The stairs and terrace of Banaras are inspired by the waves of river Ganga. The courtyard, inspired by the havelis of ancient architecture, has latticed windows to create ventilation. A 5 star hotel is also being built for passengers in the airport premises.
