After Diwali, the air level has declined in most of the cities of the country. However, Delhi is in the worst condition. The average AQI in the capital Delhi was 330 at 10 pm on Diwali. After this the air quality worsened further. However, due to strong winds the conditions did not become as bad as they could have been. If the wind does not calm down, the pollution caused by fireworks in Delhi may soon reduce. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding rain in South Indian states. Orange alert has been issued in two states and yellow alert in one state.
Like every year, firecrackers were banned this time too to control air pollution in Delhi. However, no effect was seen and there were fireworks all over Delhi NCR. Due to this the air level has declined.
Pollution reduced due to weather
Generally, during the time of Diwali, the temperature reduces considerably and the air also remains calm. Due to this, pollution increases significantly. However, this time the situation was just the opposite. Till now the cold has not really set in. At the same time, on the day of Diwali the wind continued to blow at a good speed. Because of this the smoke went away from Delhi with the wind. Due to excessive drop in temperature the smoke is not able to go away from the earth's surface. However, there is not much drop in temperature yet. Because of this also the situation in Delhi is a little better.
Heavy rain alert in three states
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Orange alert has been issued for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal along with Kerala and Mahe. At the same time, yellow alert has been issued for the southern areas of Karnataka. Orange alert means that the general public and businessmen should be prepared for heavy rains and should be prepared for flood-like situations. At the same time, when a yellow alert is issued, people and the administration are asked to remain alert.
