New Delhi: Constitution Day is being celebrated across the country today. On this occasion, PM Modi congratulated the countrymen on Constitution Day. PM Modi has also made a post on the social media platform 'X'. He wrote in his post, “Wishing all the countrymen a very happy Constitution Day on the auspicious occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution.” Let us tell you that the Constitution of India was adopted on this day in 1949. This year marks the completion of 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution.

Program will also be held in Supreme Court

On this occasion, the main function is being organized in the central hall of the old Parliament House, which is now called the Constitution House. The event will be attended by the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Lok Sabha Speaker, Union Ministers, Members of Parliament and other dignitaries. On the important occasion of completion of 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution of India, PM Modi will participate in the Constitution Day celebrations in the auditorium of the Administrative Building complex of the Supreme Court at around 5 pm. He will release the Annual Report (2023-24) of the Indian Judiciary. On this occasion he will also address the gathering present. The program is being organized by the Supreme Court. The Chief Justice of India and other judges of the Supreme Court will also be present at the event.

Amit Shah congratulated

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also greeted the people on Constitution Day. He said that in a huge country like India, the strength of democracy is its Constitution, which gives the mantra of national unity and integrity. The Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution in the Central Hall of Parliament on 26 November 1949 and it came into force on 26 January 1950. While extending hearty greetings on the Constitution Day, Shah said that today India is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Constitution with full enthusiasm.

He wrote on 'X', “To commemorate the contribution of all the architects of the Constitution including Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar ji, (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi ji started celebrating 'Constitution Day'. The strength of democracy of a huge country like India is our Constitution, which gives the mantra of national unity and integrity by ensuring justice and equal rights for every person. We believe that the Constitution is not just a book to be shown on the platforms, but it is the key to assimilate it with full devotion and make our highest contribution in public life. Come! On this Constitution Day, take a pledge to create a strong, prosperous and self-reliant India.
