A heart-wrenching incident came to light in Angul district of Odisha on Monday. Here, the dead body of a young man was found hanging from a jamun tree near a pond. But what made this painful scene even more emotional was that the pet dog of the deceased did not move away from its owner's dead body even for a moment. He sat under the tree like a sentinel and did not allow anyone to go near the dead body. As soon as someone tries to come near, he starts barking and runs to attack, as if he is protecting his master for the last time.
Pet dog did not shy away from duty
The incident took place in Ranigoda area of Angul Town police station area. The deceased has been identified as Maniya Behera. According to the information, Maniya and his dog were deeply connected to each other. This pet dog of Maniya accompanied him everywhere, especially when he went to graze his cows and buffaloes near the pond. Fear, pain and loneliness were clearly visible in the dog's eyes but still he did not step back from his duty. Perhaps he was not able to understand that his master would never return home.

This scene was so emotional that even the people present at the spot could not stop tears from their eyes. The dog's loyalty and love for its owner touched everyone's heart. It is alleged that he was having a dispute with the new owner of the pond regarding the property. On the morning of the incident, some people saw Maniya's body hanging from a jamun tree near the pond. There were also injury marks on his body, which deepens the suspicion that it may not be suicide but a well-planned conspiracy.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. The body has been sent for postmortem. Police are trying to find out the reasons behind property dispute, threats and suspicious death of Maniya. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, local people are also demanding speedy justice. The investigation into the case is ongoing, but the unbreakable bond between Maniya and his pet dog has been recorded forever in everyone's memories.
