In such a situation, BJP MPs will be present in the Parliament with new enthusiasm. However, the opposition has demanded a discussion in Parliament on the Adani issue, which is likely to create an uproar. At the same time, now MPs will do digital signature in the Parliament.
all party meeting concluded
As per tradition, an all-party meeting was organized on the eve of the winter session of Parliament on Sunday. 42 leaders from 30 parties participated in the meeting chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Opposition parties have demanded a discussion in Parliament on the allegations in America against Adani Group. At the same time, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju clarified that the matters raised in both the houses will be decided by their authorized committees with the consent of the respective Speaker. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju told reporters that the government has appealed to all parties to ensure smooth functioning of Parliament.
Congress MP Hibi Eden has given an adjournment motion notice in the Lok Sabha to discuss the issue of Gautam Adani's impeachment. He said the government should make its stand clear and ensure a fair investigation to maintain India's democratic and economic integrity. At the same time, SP MP Ram Gopal Yadav has said that many people have died in Sambhal, UP, the district administration is completely responsible for this. He has given notice and will raise this issue in the House.
On Sambhal violence, SP MP Dharmendra Yadav said that if the Speaker gives us permission, we will definitely raise this incident (in Parliament), we have sought permission from him. This is a very unfortunate incident. Meanwhile, SP MP Awadhesh Prasad said that this incident is sad. He demanded from the UP government that such an incident should not happen again.
Report prepared on Waqf Bill
The Waqf Amendment Bill is also likely to be discussed in the winter session of Parliament. Jagdambika Pal, Chairman of the Joint Committee of Parliament which is considering the bill, informed on Thursday that the report is ready and efforts will be made to reach a consensus on it among all the members. At the same time, the opposition MPs included in the joint committee have demanded to extend the tenure of the committee till November 29. Opposition MPs will meet the Lok Sabha Speaker on this matter on November 25.
On the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee said- “We have met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The JPC Speaker is not listening to us. The report cannot be given in a hurry. The Speaker said that he will listen to our sentiments. And that will increase the time all stakeholders will be heard.”
Introduction of digital signature
The notice issued by the Lok Sabha states – “Members may be aware that till the second session of the 18th Lok Sabha, a mobile app was being used to mark attendance. Now, in place of this mobile app, members are requested to mark their attendance by signing an electronic tab using the digital pen provided to them at the lobby counters.”
